Summary Explanation/Background
The Mayor would like the Commission to discuss a pilot program to provide Broward County Transit bus passes at no cost to eligible high school students (e.g., students who participate in after-school activities) in Broward County. The County currently provides a subsidized Transit bus pass program for youth. This item permits the Commission to discuss and provide direction to County staff regarding development of the pilot program to provide bus passes at no cost to eligible students.
