MOTION TO APPROVE Subaward Grant Agreement No. G0639 between Broward County and the State of Florida Division of Emergency Management in the amount of $315,134 to support Broward County's emergency management and preparedness program through September 30, 2026, which requires a dollar-for-dollar match by the County; and authorize the County Administrator to execute any documentation required to receive the grant and amendments that do not increase financial obligation on the County beyond a dollar-for-dollar required match, subject to review and approval as to legal sufficiency by the County Attorney's Office, and to take the necessary administrative and budgetary actions for the implementation of the grant.

The Office of Emergency Management recommends approval of the above motion.
In accordance with the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act, as amended, 42 U.S.C. 5121-5207, and as authorized by Section 662 of the Post-Katrina Emergency Management Reform Act, the Emergency Management Performance Grant (EMPG) funds may be used for all-hazards emergency management operations, staffing, and other planning, training, or coordination activities as specified in the EMPG Fiscal Year 2025 Scope of Work.
