Why Action is Necessary
A. The Broward County Code of Ordinance (“Code”) provides that the Mayor shall nominate a County Commissioner to serve as an alternate member of the EMS Council.
B. Approval by the Broward County Board of County Commissioners (“Board”) is required to appoint an alternate member of the EMS Council.
What Action Accomplishes
Motion A provides for Board discussion of the Mayor’s nomination of a County Commissioner to serve as an alternate member on the EMS Council. Motion B provides for the Board’s appointment of a County Commissioner to serve as an alternate member of the EMS Council.
