Summary Explanation/Background

On March 31, 2026, Hollywood City Manager George R. Keller, Jr., sent the County Commission a letter requesting review of a formal interpretation by the Planning Council related to City-owned property located at 1301 S. Ocean Drive, in Hollywood. The letter is attached as Exhibit 1. The Planning Council’s formal interpretation, attached as Exhibit 2, was made pursuant to Section 6 of the “Implementation Regulations and Procedures” of the County Land Use Plan (“Procedures”). The Procedures require the County Commission’s consideration of the City’s request within 45 days after receipt.

 

This item allows the County Commission to discuss the City’s request and to provide direction to the County Administrator to set a public hearing on the matter.
