In accordance with the Broward County Procurement Code, Board approval or delegation of authority is required to approve amendments to agreements over the award authority of the Director of Purchasing.

Amends the Participating Addendum with Matthews Bus Alliance, Inc., to increase the maximum amount and add Federal Transit Administration funding requirements to facilitate the purchase of an additional 19 transit minibuses for the Transportation Department.

THE TRANSPORTATION DEPARTMENT RECOMMENDS APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.

This item supports the Board Connected Community Goal, "Cooperatively delivering an efficient and accessible regional intermodal transportation network."

Title 49 U.S.C. 5310 authorizes a formula assistance program to provide grant assistance for providers of transportation services for seniors and individuals with disabilities. Section 5310 funds are apportioned annually, based on an administrative formula considering the number of older adults and individuals with disabilities.
