THE BROWARD COUNTY CULTURAL DIVISION RECOMMENDS APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.
This item supports the Board's Healthy Community Goal of cultivating community culture, arts, recreation, and life-long learning.
During the Budget Hearings held on September 19, 2023 and September 17, 2024, the Board approved the five-year capital improvement plan in an amount up to $5 million as the County's contribution for improvements at PACA.
The proposed Tri-Party Grant Agreement ("Agreement") (Exhibit 1) provides for Broward County ("County") and the City of Fort Lauderdale ("City") to provide funding or in-kind land contributions to fund capital improvements to the Broward Center for the Performing Arts. Pursuant to the Agreement, County will provide up to $1,000,000 per Fiscal Year in matching funds as follows: (a) $500,000 in dollar-for-dollar matching funds for PACA's actual capital expenditures; and (b) $500,000 in two-to-one matching funds for the annual al...
