Summary Explanation/Background

THE RESILIENT ENVIRONMENT DEPARTMENT AND THE URBAN PLANNING DIVISION RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION, subject to staff recommendations and conditions which will ensure compliance with the standards and requirements of Chapter 5, Article IX of the Broward County Code of Ordinances.

 

The applicant is requesting approval of a plat application to develop 96 mid-rise units and 10,600 square feet of commercial use on approximately 0.84 acres located on the west side of Dixie Highway, between Adams Street and Washington Street, in the City of Hollywood.

 

Regarding affordable housing, this plat is located within an area that was subject of Broward County Land Use Plan (BCLUP) amendment PC 05-1/PCT 05-1, which was adopted by the Board on June 28, 2005; therefore, the development shown on this plat is not subject to Policy 2.16.2 of the BCLUP.

 

The Development Review Report is attached (Exhibit 1).
