Summary Explanation/Background

THE RESILIENT ENVIRONMENT DEPARTMENT AND THE URBAN PLANNING DIVISION RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION, subject to staff recommendations and conditions which will ensure compliance with the standards and requirements of Chapter 5, Article IX of the Broward County Code of Ordinances.

The applicant is requesting approval of a plat application to develop 52 single family residences on approximately 21 acres located on the east side of Heron Run Drive, between Heron Bay Boulevard and Northwest 71 Place, in the City of Parkland.

This development proposed fewer than 100 additional dwelling units and did not require amendment to the Broward County Land Use Plan. Therefore, the development shown on this plat is not subject to Policy 2.16.2 of the Broward County Land Use Plan.
