Why Action is Necessary

Chapter 5, Article IX of the Broward County Code of Ordinances (“Land Development Code”) requires changes to previously approved or recorded plats to be approved by the Board of County Commissioners.

 

What Action Accomplishes

Approves a modification to previously approved conditions subject to staff recommendations and conditions assuring compliance with the standards and requirements of the Land Development Code.

Summary Explanation/Background

THE RESILIENT DEPARTMENT AND THE URBAN PLANNING DIVISION RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION, subject to staff recommendations and conditions which will ensure compliance with the standards and requirements of Chapter 5, Article IX of the Broward County Code of Ordinances.

 

This plat is located on 4.02 acres at the southeast corner of Pines Boulevard and Southwest 72 avenue, in the City of Pembroke Pines. The applicant is requesting to delete condition number 13 requiring the construction and security of a northbound right turn lane on SW 72 Avenue and release any funds associated with the construction. This was approved by the Board on April 16, 2024, and is no longer applicable.

 

The requests has been reviewed by Highway Construction and Engineering Division, (Exhibit 3).

 

The Development Review Report is attached, (Exhibit 1).
