MOTION TO ADOPT Resolution directing the County Administrator to publish Notice of Public Hearing to be held on November 13, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., in Room 422 of Governmental Center East to consider enactment of a proposed Ordinance, the title of which is as follows:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF BROWARD COUNTY, FLORIDA, PERTAINING TO CERTIFICATE CLASSIFICATIONS; AMENDING VARIOUS SECTIONS OF CHAPTER 31/2 OF THE BROWARD COUNTY CODE OF ORDINANCES ("CODE"); PROVIDING FOR DEFINITIONS AND CLASS 6 BLS TRANSPORT BY SMALL BUSINESS ENTERPRISE PROVIDERS; AND PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY, INCLUSION IN THE CODE, AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

Chapter 31/2 of the Code requires that any person, firm, corporation, or association obtain a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity ("Certificate") from the County before providing Basic Life Support ("BLS") services within Broward County.
Nonemergency medical transportation services play a critical role in protecting public health and safety.
