MOTION TO ADOPT Resolution of the Board of County Commissioners of Broward County, Florida, authorizing the Mayor to execute an Amendment to the Public Transportation Grant Agreement Amendment (PTGA) with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) increasing funding by $150,000, to a total awarded amount of $5,955,953, towards funding the operation and maintenance of I-95 Express Bus Service; authorizing the County Administrator to take necessary administrative and budgetary actions to implement the PTGA.
ACTION: (T-10:56 AM) Approved Resolution No. 2024-260.
VOTE: 6-0. Commissioner McKinzie was out of the room during the vote. Commissioner Bogen and Vice-Mayor Furr were not present.
B. MOTION TO ADOPT budget Resolution within the Transportation Department's I-95 Express Grant fund to appropriate revenue in the amount of $150,000 to provide funding for continued operations and maintenance of Interstate 95 Express Bus Service.

Why Action is Necessary
A. FDOT requires Board approval of a Resolution authorizing the execution of amendments to PTGAs.
B. Budget Resolutions require Board approval.
What Action Accomplishes
Approves and authorizes the Mayor to execute an amendment to the PTGA with FDOT that will provide $150,000 in Fiscal Year 2024 state funding to Broward County for continued operations and maintenance of the I-95 Express transit service.
