On March 5, 2019, the Commission approved the motion authorizing the County to enter into the original ILA (Agenda Item No. 7) and the First Amendment was approved by the Commission on March 14, 2023 (Agenda Item No. 23).

THE PUBLIC WORKS AND ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES DEPARTMENT AND THE HOUSING FINANCE AUTHORITY RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.

This item supports the Commission's Goal of "ensuring economic opportunities and a sustainable economy, with an emphasis on Broward's lower and middle class."

On March 5, 2019, the Commission approved a motion (Item No. 7) authorizing the County to enter into an ILA with the City of Coconut Creek ("City") to provide the City with $640,000 of funding through the Broward Redevelopment Program ("BRP") for public improvements in the Hillsboro Corridor Redevelopment Area (the "Project"), shown in Exhibit 5. The ILA had an initial termination date of September 30, 2023 (Exhibit 2); however, the City requested an extension because the Project experienced delays due to an encroachment.
