Summary Explanation/Background
We conducted a Follow-up Review of our audit of the agreement between Broward County and Bridges Everglades, LLC, For Concessions Operations at Everglades Holiday Park (Report No. 24-24) dated August 8, 2024.
The objective of our review was to determine the implementation status of our previous recommendations.
We conclude that of the 14 recommendations in the original report, 9 recommendations were implemented, 2 were partially implemented, and 3 were not implemented. The status of each of our recommendations is presented in this follow-up report.
We appreciate the cooperation and assistance provided by the Parks & Recreation Division throughout our audit process.
