Summary Explanation/Background
The Broward League of Cities bylaws offer appointment of a County Commissioner as a Director, an Alternate, and a Second Alternate to attend and vote at any Board of Directors or General Membership meetings of the Broward League of Cities. Those appointed by the Board of County Commissioners to the Board of Directors for the Broward League of Cities serve one-year terms which expire each year on the date of the installation dinner. The term of this year's appointments will commence on June 7, 2025, and end in May 2026.
Exhibit 1 is the registration form for the appointments.
The current appointees from the 2024-25 term are as follows:
Director: Mayor Beam Furr
Alternate: Commissioner Michael Udine
Second Alternate: Commissioner Lamar Fisher
