THE PARKS AND RECREATION DIVISION RECOMMENDS APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.
On August 22, 2017 (Item No. 41), the Board of County Commissioners approved the License and Concession Agreement between Broward County and Florida Renaissance Festival, Inc. (RenFest), for Florida Renaissance Festival at Quiet Waters Park, granting a license to utilize portions of Quiet Waters Park to hold an annual series of renaissance festivals (each annual series, an "Event").
On January 28, 2020 (Item No. 27), the Board approved a First Amendment to the Agreement to allow the sale of liquor at the Event.
On September 9, 2021 (Item No. 34), the Board approved a Second Amendment to the Agreement exercising the optional five-year renewal term provided in the Agreement, extending the term through the conclusion of the 2027 Event.
On November 15, 2022 (Item No. 55), the Board approved a Third Amendment to the Agreement to increase the number of weekends for each yearly Event from seven to eight per year; authorize the Contract Administrator to approve up to an additional three weekends for the yearly Event (for a m...
