MOTION TO AUTHORIZE County Administrator or her written designee to negotiate, approve, and execute amendments to the Interlocal Agreement for Transportation Surtax Services between Broward County and the Broward Metropolitan Planning Organization ("ILA"), including but not limited to modifications to the scope of services, provided such amendments do not increase the maximum amounts payable under the terms of the ILA, and with such amendments being subject to review and approval for legal sufficiency by the Office of the County Attorney; and to authorize the County Administrator to take all necessary and budgetary actions to implement such authorized amendments.

Summary Explanation/Background
The Mobility Advancement Program Administration and Public Works Department recommend approval of this motion.
The current Surtax Services Interlocal Agreement ("ILA") with the Broward Metropolitan Planning Organization ("BMPO") provides for the BMPO to review and evaluate various municipal capital projects for which transportation surtax funding is sought. The ILA expires on December 31, 2025.
Currently, the County intends to pursue a federal discretionary grant under the U.S. Department of Transportation's 2025 Safe Streets and Roads for All Implementation Grant Program ("Grant Program") for the County's Public Works Department.
