A. MOTION TO APPROVE design proposal from artist Tracey Dear, and the E. Clay Shaw, Jr. Bridge Artistic Lighting Project (Project) in an amount not to exceed $6,000,000, of which $2,000,000 is currently appropriated with Public Art & Design Trust funds and Tourist Development Tax funds.

MOTION TO APPROVE Director of the Cultural Division to solicit funding in excess of $30,000 to offset County's cost for the Project, and to execute funding-related agreements for the referenced funding, subject to review for legal sufficiency by the Office of the County Attorney; and to authorize the County Administrator to take all necessary and budgetary actions to implement same.

Why Action is Necessary
A. The Fiscal Year 24 capital budget includes $2,000,000 from the Public Art & Design (PAD) Trust Fund and the Tourist Development Tax (TDT) Capital Fund. Broward County Code of Ordinances requires the Broward County Board of County Commissioners ("Board") approve the artist's design proposal when the budget for the artwork is $100,000 or more.
