Summary Explanation/Background
This year Jazz in the Gardens (JITG), a premier South Florida entertainment event, celebrates its 18th year of showcasing the diversity, culture, and art of South Florida through various genres of music. This highly anticipated music festival occurs every year in March. JITG will take place on March 11 and 12, 2024, and will include two days of live musical performances, a "food truck village" that features a vibrant array of flavors from diverse cultures, and a local artisan marketplace and business village that offers visitors the opportunity to shop for unique crafts and engage with local artists.

This item, if approved, would authorize a $100,000 sponsorship of the JITG (in addition to a previously approved $25,000 Visit Lauderdale sponsorship of the Women's Impact Luncheon at the JITG), and authorize the County Administrator to execute any necessary sponsorship documentation (including agreements), subject to review for legal sufficiency by the Office of the County Attorney.
