Summary Explanation/Background
Broward County (“County”) is often invited to send one or more representatives to trade missions, conferences, and meetings locally, nationally, and internationally regarding issues that are important to our residents and promote Broward County businesses.
These opportunities come through a variety of sources, which may approach County Administration, County Agencies, or individual County Commissioners to inform the County of the opportunity. In many cases, not all members of the Board of County Commissioners (“Board”) are informed of the opportunity to attend.
This item allows the Board to discuss the creation of a process to ensure all Commissioners are informed of opportunities to represent Broward County at trade missions, conferences, and meetings regarding issues that are important to our residents and promote Broward County businesses.
