Section 1-51.6 of the Broward County Code of Ordinances establishes the County’s Prompt Payment Policy, which sets standards for the timely payment of vendors for goods and services. The proposed Ordinance updates this policy to reflect recent changes to the County’s current payment practices and to incorporate legislative changes to the Local Government Prompt Payment Act, as outlined in Sections 218.70 through 218.80 of the Florida Statutes.
