Summary Explanation/Background

In 1980 Broward County created the Broward County Community Redevelopment Agency (“CRA”). The CRA has been inactive for more than a decade. The Florida Department of Economic Opportunity has formally declared the CRA inactive; as a result, under applicable law, the County must repeal the applicable Code provisions.

This item directs the County Attorney’s Office to draft an Ordinance repealing the applicable Code sections pertaining to the CRA.
