Why Action is Necessary

Chapter 5, Article IX of the Broward County Code of Ordinances (Broward County Land Development Code) requires changes to previously approved or recorded plats to be approved by the Board of County Commissioners.

 

What Action Accomplishes

Approves a non-vehicular access line amendment within the plat, subject to staff recommendation and conditions ensuring compliance with the standards and requirements of the Broward County Land Development Code.

Summary Explanation/Background

THE RESILIENT ENVIRONMENT DEPARTMENT AND THE URBAN PLANNING DIVISION RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION, subject to staff recommendations and conditions.

 

This plat is located on 42.53 acres on the west side of South Flamingo Road, between Southwest 49 Street and Stirling Road, in the Town of Southwest Ranches. The applicant is requesting to amend the NVAL as delineated on Parcel A of the Broward Central Catholic High School Plat to add a 50-foot opening with centerline being 145 feet north of the south plat limits of Parcel A. It will allow right-turns in and right-turns out only.

 

The Development Review Report is attached (Exhibit 1).
