Summary Explanation/Background

At-Large board appointments are made available to County Commissioners either by virtue of the enacting legislation of an advisory board or according to the At-Large Board Rotation Procedures approved by the Broward County Commission.

There are vacant positions on the School Oversight Committee in the at-large category and three vacant positions on the Community Action Agency Advisory Board in the “Elected Public Official” Category.

Any Commissioner may nominate an individual to the position. If more than one nomination is submitted for the same position, the County Commission votes to determine which individual will be appointed.
