Summary Explanation/Background
THE PORT EVERGLADES DEPARTMENT RECOMMENDS APPROVAL.

This item accepts a Special Warranty Deed ("Deed") conveying a 59-square-foot parcel of real property ("Parcel") from MPLX Terminals, LLC ("Grantor") to Broward County at no cost to the County. The Parcel is located along the west side of Eisenhower Blvd. between SE 20th Street and SE 18th Street south of the 17th Street entrance to Port Everglades (see Exhibit 2). The County requires the Parcel to facilitate the relocation of an existing Port Everglades variable messaging and wayfinding sign from the median of Eisenhower Blvd. to this parcel. Relocation of the sign is required for construction of the Port Everglades Bypass Road Project.

Broward County will accept the Parcel on an "as-is" basis, taking on all associated responsibility and liability. The Deed releases Grantor from any claims related to environmental contamination present on, under, or migrating from the Parcel ("Release").
