THE PARKS AND RECREATION DIVISION RECOMMENDS APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.
The Parks and Recreation Division has miscellaneous construction projects scheduled at Deerfield Island Park that require an off-site staging area for transporting materials and equipment to and from the island by barge. Alsdorf Park, owned by the Florida Inland Navigation District but operated and maintained by the City of Pompano Beach ("City"), is regularly utilized by various governmental agencies as a staging area site for waterway transport of construction materials and equipment.
