Summary Explanation/Background
THE AVIATION DEPARTMENT RECOMMENDS APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.
On November 14, 2006 (Item No. 5), the Board approved a Memorandum of Agreement ("MOA") between the County and the FAA covering all current and active navigation aid equipment at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport ("FLL").
On February 12, 2008 (Item No. 2), the Board approved Supplemental Agreement No. 1 to the MOA, which amended the MOA to include language allowing for backup generators and power supply for all Automated Surface Observing System ("ASOS") facilities located at FLL.
