Summary Explanation/Background
THE PUBLIC WORKS AND ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES DEPARTMENT AND THE HOUSING AND URBAN PLANNING DIVISION RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION, subject to staff recommendations which will ensure compliance with the standards and requirements of Chapter 5, Article IX of the Broward County Code of Ordinances.
The applicant is requesting approval of a plat application to develop 50 townhome dwelling units, on approximately 4.6 acres located on southeast corner of Southgate Boulevard and Pine Island Road/Northwest 88 Avenue, in the City of Tamarac.
The proposed development is consistent with the permitted uses under the effective land use plan. As such, it is not subject to Policy 2.16.2 of the Broward County Land Use Plan.
The Development Review Report is attached (Exhibit 1).
