The City of Fort Lauderdale's Beach Area CRA (Exhibit 3) was created in 1989 and was due to expire on September 30, 2020. On December 10, 2019, the Board approved an ILA that provided for an extension of the CRA to September 30, 2023, ceasing County TIF contributions at the original sunset date (September 30, 2020) but enabling the CRA to remain in operation to complete two approved CRA redevelopment projects that were under construction at the time: the SR A1A Streetscape Improvement Project and the Aquatics Center Renovation Project.
