MOTION TO APPROVE Amendment No. 0003 to Agreement No. JC206 between the State of Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) and Broward County, relating to child care licensing and enforcement; authorize the Mayor and Clerk to execute same, and authorize County Administrator to sign any additional amendments or related documents necessary under the agreement that do not impose additional costs to the County and subject to review and approval as to legal sufficiency by the Office of the County Attorney.

THE RESILIENT ENVIRONMENT DEPARTMENT AND THE CONSUMER PROTECTION DIVISION RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.
Section 402.306, Florida Statutes, provides that counties may either designate a local licensing agency or contract with DCF to provide that service. In Broward, the Board of County Commissioners has designated the Consumer Protection Division's Child Care Licensing and Enforcement Section (CCLE) as local licensing agency.
