MOTION TO ADOPT Resolution directing the County Administrator to publish Notice of Public Hearing to be held on February 3, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., in Room 422 of Governmental Center East to consider adoption of a proposed Resolution Amending the Broward County Administrative Code, the title of which is as follows:
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF BROWARD COUNTY, FLORIDA, PERTAINING TO THE PURCHASING CARD PROGRAM; AMENDING SECTION 21.31 OF THE BROWARD COUNTY ADMINISTRATIVE CODE ("ADMINISTRATIVE CODE"); AND PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY, INCLUSION IN THE ADMINISTRATIVE CODE, AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

Summary Explanation/Background
Broward County maintains a Purchasing Card ("P-Card") Program to facilitate efficient purchases of low-dollar, routine items needed for ongoing County operations. The P-Card Program includes numerous internal controls such as training and testing requirements, approval processes, per transaction and per day limitations, and inspection and review of transactions by the Purchasing Division and the Accounting Division.
Currently, County Commissioners are not eligible to participate in the P-Card Program, and must pay for County expenses such as travel expenses with a personal credit card and seek reimbursement after the fact. All County-funde...
