THE PUBLIC WORKS AND ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES DEPARTMENT AND THE HIGHWAY CONSTRUCTION AND ENGINEERING DIVISION RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.
Pompano Park Place (Southwest 3 Street/Race Track Road) is a County road in the City of Pompano Beach from Powerline Road to Dixie Highway. The County is in the process of undertaking a complete streets project on the road which includes installation of bike lanes, sidewalks, lighting, landscaping, and resurfacing the road, with no change in the number of vehicle travel lanes. Pompano Industrial Owner 1, LLC, a developer located along the south side of the road, has improved a portion of the road between Powerline Road and the Seaboard Coastline Railroad, including voluntarily completing the County's project upgrades within that segment at no cost to the County.
