MOTION TO APPROVE Agreement between Broward County and the Children's Services Council of Broward County ("CSC") for the County's Lights On Afterschool event in the Broward Municipal Services District, for CSC to provide funding in the amount of $17,500 for the annual event; authorize the Mayor and Clerk to execute same; authorize the County Administrator to approve and execute amendments to the agreement that do not impose any additional financial obligations on the County, subject to review and approval as to legal sufficiency by the Office of the County Attorney, and to take all necessary administrative and budgetary actions to implement the Agreement. (Commission Districts 5 and 8)

THE PARKS AND RECREATION DIVISION RECOMMENDS APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTIONS.
This item supports the Commission's Healthy Community goal of cultivating community culture, arts, recreation and life-long learning.
The Parks and Recreation Division offers a free Broward County Neighborhood Parks Afterschool Program at parks within the Broward Municipal Services District for children countywide. In collaboration with the CSC, the County will plan, manage, host, and provide staff for the Lights On Afterschool community-wide event that will be held on October 14, 2024, at Franklin Park.
