Summary Explanation/Background
On April 28, 2026, the Commission approved the request of former Hollywood City Manager George R. Keller, Jr., for a review of a formal interpretation of the Planning Council related to the property located at 1301 S. Ocean Drive in the City of Hollywood (“Formal Interpretation”). A copy of the Formal Interpretation is attached as Exhibit 2. The matter was continued from the public hearing agenda on May 26, 2026, and August 20, 2026. On September 1, 2026, Dennis Mele, Esq., on behalf of the City of Hollywood, asked that the matter be set for public hearing within 45 days. Mr. Mele’s letter is attached as Exhibit 3.
