Why Action is Necessary
In accordance with the Broward County Procurement Code, Board approval or delegation of authority is required to approve amendments to agreements in excess of the award authority of the Director of Purchasing.

What Action Accomplishes
Approves the second amendment, prepared and approved by the Office of the County Attorney, with CabConnect, Inc., to continue providing payment card services for the Paratransit Rider's Choice Program and LSCPP for an additional term of three years.

THE TRANSPORTATION DEPARTMENT RECOMMENDS APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.

This item supports the Board's Connected Community Goal of "Cooperatively delivering an efficient and accessible regional intermodal transportation network" and its Accountable Government Goal of "Consistently delivering responsive, efficient, quality services to the public and internal customers."
