Pursuant to Section 32.25 of the Broward County Administrative Code, the Port Everglades Department Business Development Division is required to: (a) conduct franchise evaluations annually, on a rotating basis, in such a manner whereby all franchisees are reviewed within a two-year period; and (b) file a Final Franchise Evaluation Report with the Broward County Board of County Commissioners.

Summary Explanation/Background
THE PORT EVERGLADES DEPARTMENT RECOMMENDS APPROVAL.
Section 32.25 of the Broward County Administrative Code ("Code") requires the County, through the Port Everglades Department Business Development Division, to conduct franchise evaluations annually, on a rotating basis, in such a manner whereby all franchisees are reviewed within a two-year period, and to file a Final Franchise Evaluation Report ("Report") with the Broward County Board of County Commissioners ("Board") within 60 days following completion of the Report. The Port Everglades Department Business Development Division completed the Report on October 3, 2024 (see Exhibit 1).
The Report covers the activities of 40 franchises (listed alphabetically) during the two-year period from July 1, 2022, through June 30, 2024. A total of 28 companies are represented, as several companies have multiple franchises.
