MOTION TO ADOPT Resolution Amending the Broward County Administrative Code, the title of which is as follows:
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF BROWARD COUNTY, FLORIDA, PERTAINING TO RESILIENT ENVIRONMENT DEPARTMENT FEES; AMENDING VARIOUS SECTIONS OF CHAPTER 40 OF THE BROWARD COUNTY ADMINISTRATIVE CODE ("ADMINISTRATIVE CODE"), UPDATING FEES CHARGED FOR SERVICES CONSISTENT WITH FEE STUDY; AND PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY, INCLUSION IN THE ADMINISTRATIVE CODE, AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

Board approval is required to adopt resolutions to amend Broward County Administrative Code.

Summary Explanation/Background
THE RESILIENT ENVIRONMENT DEPARTMENT RECOMMENDS APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.
This item furthers the County Commission goal of "[c]onsistently delivering responsive, efficient, inclusive, and equitable quality services to the public and internal customers while providing a safe community to live, work and visit."
The Resilient Environment Department (RED) and its numerous Divisions provide a variety of services to persons in Broward County. Based on RED's fee study, concluded on November 4, 2024, it is necessary to update the fees in the Broward County Administrative Code to be consistent with the current cost of providing those services.
