MOTION TO APPROVE Amendment for Extension to the Public Transportation Grant Agreement between Broward County and the State of Florida Department of Transportation for Financial Project No. 449608-1-94-01, extending the Agreement Expiration Date for the design of the Separated Shared Use Path Project at Broward County's North Perry Airport; authorize the Mayor and Clerk to execute same; authorize the County Administrator to take any necessary administrative and budgetary actions to implement the Amendment for Extension, and authorize the County Administrator to approve any future amendments that do not impose additional financial obligations on Broward County, subject to review for legal sufficiency by the Office of the County Attorney.

THE AVIATION DEPARTMENT RECOMMENDS APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.
Approval of this action will extend the PTGA from December 31, 2025 to September 30, 2026, to allow additional time for completion of the Separated Shared Use Path Project ("Project") design at North Perry Airport ("HWO").
On October 25, 2022 (Item No. 3), the Board approved the PTGA between Broward County ("County") and Florida Department of Transportation ("FDOT") for Financial Project No. 449608-1-94-01 at HWO. The total Project design cost was estimated to be $382,500.
