THE RESILIENT ENVIRONMENT DEPARTMENT AND THE CONSUMER PROTECTION DIVISION RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.
Chapter 31/2 of the Broward County Code of Ordinances identifies the process by which every person, firm, corporation, or association must abide to provide emergency medical services within Broward County, Florida. The Consumer Protection Division acts as the designee of the County Administrator for the purposes of processing and reviewing applications for Certificates of Public Convenience and Necessity (COPCN), including Class 3 - BLS Transport services. The application process and monitoring of certified agencies are further promulgated through the rules and regulations set forth in Chapter 31/2 of the Broward County Code of Ordinances.
