MOTION TO AWARD open-end contract to sole source Andritz Separation, Inc., for Andritz Decanter Centrifuges Maintenance and Repair Services, Quote No. OPN2130924Q1, for the Water and Wastewater Services in the initial two-year estimated amount of $1,237,340, (including initial allowance of $26,000), and authorize the Director of Purchasing to renew the contract for three one-year periods, for a five-year potential estimated amount of $3,093,350.

Why Action is Necessary
MOTION A. In accordance with the Broward County Procurement Code, Section 21.25(a), a sole source procurement may be designated when the Director of Purchasing determines that there is only one source or one reasonable source; any nonstandardized sole source procurement above the Director of Purchasing award authority must be approved by the Board.
MOTION B: In accordance with the Broward County Procurement Code, Section 21.47, Award and Execution Authority, Board approval is required for awards with a value of more than $500,000, inclusive of the value of any renewals or extensions provided for in the contract.
