Why Action is Necessary
In accordance with the Broward County Procurement Code, Board approval is required to approve amendments to agreements in excess of the award authority of the Director of Purchasing.
What Action Accomplishes
Extends Agreement for General Planning Consultant services for one additional renewal term and adds up to an additional $1,000,000 for work authorizations between the effective date of the Amendment and the end of the renewal term as staff continues the Request for Proposal (RFP) procurement process for a new continuing services agreement for similar services.

Summary Explanation/Background
THE TRANSPORTATION DEPARTMENT RECOMMENDS APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.
The current Agreement with WSP USA Inc. for General Planning Consultant Services (RFP#PNC2119955P) for the Transportation Department (BCT) commenced on May 4, 2021, for an initial term of three years (May 4, 2021, through May 3, 2024), with up to two additional one-year renewals, both of which have been exercised, extending the term of the Agreement until May 3, 2026. Pursuant to the terms of the Agreement, all services are ordered by work authorizations with specific scopes of work and funding maximums.
