MOTION TO APPROVE Agreement between Broward County and Areawide Council on Aging of Broward County, Inc., in the amount of $750,000, effective from October 1, 2025 through September 30, 2026, to provide emergency home-delivered meals to eligible Broward County seniors; authorize the Mayor and Clerk to execute same; and authorize the County Administrator to take all necessary administrative and budgetary actions to implement the Agreement.

Summary Explanation/Background
THE HUMAN SERVICES DEPARTMENT AND THE ELDERLY AND VETERANS SERVICES DIVISION RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.
This action supports the Commission's value of "building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives" and the goal of "delivering accessible human services that holistically address the whole person collaboratively and compassionately."
The Human Services Department and the Elderly and Veterans Services Division desires to continue to support the Areawide Council on Aging of Broward County, Inc. ("Council") in providing home-delivered meals to eligible Broward County seniors.
Eligible recipients are Broward County residents, age 60 and older, who self-report an annual income less than or equal to 150% of the 2024 federal poverty level. They must not be receiving home-delivered meals from any other source.
