Summary Explanation/Background
THE FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES DEPARTMENT, THE ACCOUNTING DIVISION, AND THE TRANSPORTATION DEPARTMENT RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.
The Transportation Department (BCT) requests authorization for seven employees to travel from March 5 - 8, 2026, to attend the 2026 Florida Triple Crown Roadeo in Orlando, FL. The Florida Triple Crown Roadeo is an annual event that tests the skills of Bus Operators and Maintenance Technicians from all over the state of Florida.
The winners of both the Bus and Maintenance Technician competitions will be sent at no expense to the County to compete in the 2026 American Public Transportation Association’s (APTA’s) International Bus Roadeo to be held May 15 - 19, 2026 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
