Why Action is Necessary
Motions A and B: Part II, Chapter 1, Article V, Section 1-88.a.9.of the Broward County Code of Ordinances, requires that the Broward County Board of County Commissioners ("Board") approve the artist design proposal when the art budget for the artwork portion of the capital improvement project total is $100,000 or more.
What Action Accomplishes
Motions A and B: allow for the development of agreements with the artists to finalize the designs and proceed with fabrication and installation of the artworks.
