Summary Explanation/Background

THE RESILIENT ENVIRONMENT DEPARTMENT AND THE URBAN PLANNING DIVISION RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION, subject to staff recommendations and conditions which will ensure compliance with the standards and requirements of Chapter 5, Article IX of the Broward County Code of Ordinances.

 

The applicant is requesting approval of a plat application to develop 237 mid-rise units on approximately 4.3 acres located on the west side of Federal Highway/U.S. 1, between Eller Street/Northeast 2nd Street and Northeast 4th Street, in the City of Deerfield Beach.

 

A portion of this plat was subject to Broward County Land Use Plan Amendment (PC21-5). This was approved with a voluntary commitment to contribute $500 per dwelling unit to the City of Deerfield Beach’s affordable housing program.

 

The Development Review Report is attached (Exhibit 1).
