THE FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES DEPARTMENT AND THE RECORDS, TAXES, AND TREASURY DIVISION RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTIONS.

Records, Taxes and Treasury's Cash Handling and Deposit Procedures require the voiding of checks that are outstanding in preparation for eventual escheating to the State of Florida, as required by Florida Statutes. These warrants have been outstanding for over six months and now meet the time requirement for voiding according to the conventions governing negotiable instruments followed by banking industry practice.
