MOTION TO ADOPT Resolution directing the County Administrator to publish Notice of Public Hearing to be held on October 21, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., in Room 422 of Governmental Center East, to consider transmittal to designated State review agencies of a proposed amendment to the Broward County Land Use Plan map (PC 25-1), in the Town of Southwest Ranches (Commission District 1), as an amendment to the Broward County Comprehensive Plan, the title of which is as follows:
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF BROWARD COUNTY, FLORIDA, TRANSMITTING TO DESIGNATED STATE AGENCIES A PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE BROWARD COUNTY LAND USE PLAN OF THE BROWARD COUNTY COMPREHENSIVE PLAN WITHIN THE TOWN OF SOUTHWEST RANCHES; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

Why Action is Necessary
It is necessary to schedule a public hearing of the Broward County Board of County Commissioners prior to transmittal of an amendment to the Broward County Comprehensive Plan.
What Action Accomplishes
The Resolution directs the County Administrator to set a public hearing for October 21, 2025, to consider transmittal to designated State review agencies of proposed map amendment PC 25-1, which is an amendment to the Broward County Land Use Plan, pursuant to Section 163.3184, Florida Statutes, as amended.
