MOTION TO ADOPT Resolution directing the County Administrator to publish Notice of Public Hearing to be held on September 10, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., in Room 422 of Governmental Center East, to consider enactment of an Ordinance adopting a proposed Small-Scale amendment to the Broward County Land Use Plan map (PC 26-5), located in the City of Weston (Commission District 1), as an amendment to the Broward County Comprehensive Plan, the title of which is as follows:
AN ORDINANCE OF BROWARD COUNTY, FLORIDA, ADOPTING A SMALL-SCALE AMENDMENT TO THE BROWARD COUNTY COMPREHENSIVE PLAN; AMENDING THE BROWARD COUNTY LAND USE PLAN WITHIN THE CITY OF WESTON; AND PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

Why Action is Necessary
It is necessary to schedule a public hearing of the Broward County Board of County Commissioners to be held subsequent to receipt of a recommendation from the Broward County Planning Council prior to adoption of an amendment to the Broward County Comprehensive Plan.
What Action Accomplishes
The Resolution directs the County Administrator to set a public hearing for September 10, 2026, to consider adoption of proposed map amendment PC 26-5, which is a small-scale amendment to the Broward County Land Use Plan, pursuant to Section 163.3184, Florida Statutes, as amended.
