Board of County Commissioners' approval is required to enter into an agreement to lease property, pursuant to Broward County Administrative Code, Section 6.23 and Section 125.031, Florida Statutes.

Authorizes execution of a proposed lease agreement to provide office premises for the Broward County Transportation Department's Capital Delivery and Infrastructure Division near Government Center West in Plantation.

THE PUBLIC WORKS AND ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES DEPARTMENT, THE REAL PROPERTY AND REAL ESTATE DEVELOPMENT DIVISION, AND THE TRANSPORTATION DEPARTMENT RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.
Relocation of the Broward County Transit's ("BCT") Capital Delivery and Infrastructure Division is required to provide space for its current operations. The present BCT space and space arrangement is not adequate, necessitating a new location and outfitting appropriate office space for program management staff and contractors. The office space will better streamline project management and coordination activities following industry best practices.
