Summary Explanation/Background
THE FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES DEPARTMENT AND THE HUMAN RESOURCES DIVISION RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.

This item seeks approval of one non-financial agreement that provides economically disadvantaged youth with summer work experience at no cost to the County. The program is possible through funds made available through one of the following funding streams: Children's Services Council of Broward County, the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act of 2014, or the Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act.

The Agreement covers five summer periods from the date of execution by the parties through September 30, 2029 (Exhibit 1). The summer work experience program is for a period of approximately eight to ten weeks based upon CareerSource Broward (CSBD) fund availability. CSBD covers all costs, and no County funding is involved.
