Broward County Board of County Commissioners ("Commission") approval is required for agreements with external agencies.

What Action Accomplishes
Approval of the motion removes the Specialty Shelter Program ("SSP") from Agreement No. 22-CP-HIP-0375-01, effective October 1, 2023. This program provided services to individuals experiencing homelessness and severe mental illness.

THE HUMAN SERVICES DEPARTMENT AND THE HOUSING OPTIONS, SOLUTIONS, AND SUPPORTS DIVISION RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.

This action supports the Commission's value of "building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives" and the goal of "delivering accessible human services that holistically address the whole person collaboratively and compassionately." The Fourth Amendment removes the SSP from the Agreement with Henderson Behavioral Health, Inc. ("Henderson"), which provided services to individuals experiencing homelessness and severe mental illness.
